New Models of Primary Care Workforce and Financing: Cherokee Health Systems

This case study report provides an in-depth look at the workforce configuration of Cherokee Health Systems, a Federally Qualified Health Center and a Community Mental Health Center with a mission to “improve the quality of life for [their] patients through the blending of primary care, behavioral health and prevention services.” Cherokee is constantly working to innovate to improve integrated service delivery and has developed training in primary care/behavioral health care integration.
