The New York State Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare (NYS Council) and its counterpart PCA, the Community Health Care Association of New York State (CHCANYS), together serve 70 FQHCS and 100 community-based behavioral health organizations.
The New York team is most proud of the strong working relationship they built between their associations, and the new member relationships and partnerships that have formed through their work. They are also proud of the groundbreaking work between the Behavioral Health Care Collaboratives and Primary care IPAs. Their Delta Center work created a focus on their partner association’s issues and concerns, and policy makers now see them as partners working together on issues such as joint advocacy on DSRIP legislation and telehealth.
