The Texas Council of Community Centers (Texas Council), which represents 39 community mental health centers (CMHCs) that serve nearly 600,000 people across all 254 Texas counties.
The Texas Council is working to better understand and address health disparities while improving behavioral healthcare services. During 2020-2021 the Texas Council will conduct a health disparities analysis and develop a plan for addressing inequities. Available Texas Community Health Center data will be included as part of the analyses and will be shared with the Texas Association of Community Health Centers (TACHC), which represents 74 Community Health Centers in 132 counties. Additionally, the Texas Council will continue its work to expand the CCBHC model throughout Texas to improve access to and quality of behavioral health services.
