Delta Center for a Thriving Safety Net
The Delta Center for a Thriving Safety Net funded the New Mexico Primary Care Association (NMPCA) and Behavioral Health Providers Association of New Mexico (NMBHPA) as part of the 2018–2020 State Learning & Action Collaborative. The two associations collaborated on several policy initiatives, including implementation of reimbursement parity for behavioral health services and funding the workforce, and also supported their members in moving towards value-based payment and care through joint training and conferences. The NMPCA also established a state-authorized clinically integrated network to support contracting for value-based, integrated medical and behavioral health services. The NMPCA and NMBHPA's work to advance value-based policy and payment has strengthened the financial sustainability of provider organizations, and effected a more unified and accessible safety-net health system.
