Grantee Spotlight: New York Association Partnership Advances Telehealth Policy with Health Equity Lens

The Delta Center for a Thriving Safety Net funded The Community Health Care Association of New York State (CHCANYS) and New York State Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare (NYS Council) as part of the 2018–2020 State Learning & Action Collaborative. The two associations leveraged their existing relationship developed under the Delta Center grant to create a unified voice to influence the state's telehealth policy. The associations' advocacy work helped to make permanent new telehealth payment and delivery flexibilities amid the COVID-19 public health emergency for their shared safety-net population, among other telehealth recommendations, with an intentional focus on health equity.
