Grantee Spotlight: Texas Council of Community Centers

The Delta Center for a Thriving Safety Net funded the Texas Council of Community Centers as part of the 2018–2020 State Learning & Action Collaborative. The Texas Council used Delta Center funding to develop a state-sponsored Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model, create a capitated alternative model payment for the model, and expand coverage for persons with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) through the 1115 Waiver. In doing so, Texas has enacted policy and practice changes that fundamentally improve Texas’s behavioral health care services, paving the way for increased access and improved care for individuals.
